A fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute, Channa Pinchasi is a doctoral candidate at Bar-Ilan University. Her research focuses on gender aspects of Midrash.
Channa was involved in adult Jewish education at Elul, a pluralistic Beit Midrash, and in training high school teachers of Judaic Studies. From 2001-2004 Channa was the representative of the education department of the Jewish Agency in Canada.
Today, Channa is a leader of a women's feminist Beit Midrash at the Herzog Center. She is the mother of four children and an active member of Kolech, a feminist orthodox organization.
